About us

Founded in 1937, the Systematics Association is a UK based organisation for the promotion of the study of systematics and taxonomy across life sciences, which publishes research, organises conferences, and provides competitive funds for systematics research.

Our Values

Systematics and taxonomy are an essential component on biological research. It is only with a good taxonomic knowledge that we can understand the extraordinary diversity of life that exists in our Planet and how the different groups originated, evolved and interplay.

Our discipline and its pivotal role in modern-day science must thus be acknowledged, highlighted, and promoted.
