Friday 19th November 2021
The annual Young Systematists’ Forum represents an exciting setting for postgraduate students and early postdoctoral researchers to present their work, often for the first time, to a scientific audience interested in taxonomy, systematics and phylogenetics. This well-established event provides an opportunity for budding systematists to discuss their research in front of their peers within a supportive environment. Supervisors and other established systematists are also encouraged to attend.
Following the success of last year’s event, and with most of us still affected by the pandemic in one way or another, this year the Young Systematists’ Forum will take place online again. It will be held on Friday 19th November 2021 (times will be announced soon).
Prizes will be awarded for the best oral and poster presentations as judged by a small panel during the conference.
Abstracts must be submitted in English and in Word or PDF format no later than Friday 22nd October 2021.
All abstracts will undergo a selection process. If you have presented a talk at the YSF before, we ask that you submit only for a flash talk as speaker slots are limited and we want to give as many people a chance as possible.

The conference is organised by Ellinor Michel (Natural History Museum London), Katie Collins (Natural History Museum London), Pablo Muñoz-Rodríguez (University of Oxford), Karen Siu Ting (Queen’s University Belfast), Yvette Harvey (Royal Horticultural Society Garden), Ana Serra Silva (Natural History Museum London), Kalman Konyves (Royal Horticultural Society) and Peter Mulhair (University of Leeds) with the support of The Systematics Association Council.
