Kálmán Könyves is a botanist and a taxonomist, currently working as one of The Royal Horticultural Society’s Horticultural Taxonomists. He completed his PhD at the University of Reading, focusing on the taxonomy of hoop-petticoat daffodils both in the wild and in cultivation. The focus of his research is on petaloid monocots, especially daffodils, using molecular methods to understand their diversity in cultivation.
